A minidetector is a sensitive selective radio receiver in which the variable brightness of an LED allows the low-intensity electromagnetic field emitted by the antennas of these devices to be "seen".

The measurement/test frequency of 455 kHz must be respected! The minidetector solution was chosen for conceptual reasons, as other simple technical solutions would cause the detector to be unreliable in an environment with high levels of electromagnetic smog.
